Shirdi to Nashik | Walk of Hope in Maharashtra

An overview of the Walk of Hope 2015-16 program in Shirdi and Nashik and the Guru Purnima celebrations that would be held in Nashik on 31 July 2015.

Shirdi

Sri M’s Walk of Hope would be proceeding towards Shirdi, the abode of Sai Nath and will be there on 23rd and 24th of July 2015 and they proceed towards Nashik on 25th July.

Nashik and Guru Purnima

Sri M will reach Nashik in 30th July 2015 and will be there till the padayatri leaves Nashik on Sunday 2nd August 2015 towards Trimbakeshwar. This year, Guru Purnima is being celebrated in Nashik. The venue is : Karmaveer Dadasaheb Gaikwad Sabhagriha, Bhabha Nagar, Nashik- 422009 ( Map ) The celebrations will be only for a day on 31st July 2015. The events on that day are expected to start only by 9.30 a.m. or later, and end the same night. A detailed program will be published along with contact numbers of coordinators, as soon as the program is finalized. Please note that 01st August 2015 will be a complete rest day for Sri M and there are no events planned on that day. There is no registration process for Guru Purnima and anybody is welcome to join the celebrations. Lunch and dinner on 31st July will be served at the venue at no cost to participants.

Accommodation arrangements at Shirdi & Nashik

The organizers will not be making accommodation arrangements in any of these places except for the assigned walkers. All others participating would have to make their own arrangements. The Kumbh Mela will have it’s flag hoisting of the main ceremony on 14th of July and it is expected that the important piligrimage centers in Maharashtra will have more than the usual crowds. Many of the hotels are already reported full in Nashik and rates, being quoted are also expected to be much higher than normal. A satsangi, who runs a well known travel consulting company has kindly offered her organization’s support to people requiring arrangements in either of these places with options like: 1. Hotel / Service apartment booking 2. Transfers individual or vehicle pooling . 3.
