The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali say, ‘Yogas chitta vritti nirodha.’ The process of Yoga is to stop the continuous movement caused by the distractions of the mind-stuff. Practically, it’s Yoga; theoretically, it’s Vedanta because Yoga is a way to experience what's been described in the Vedanta.
