You cannot really study your mind—that is ‘to know your Self’—in isolation. Sitting in a cave, there is no one with whom you can interact—no one to get angry with, no one to be jealous of, no one to assault in anger.

This is no different in how people appear outside which is also a creation of our mind. Hence would it not be right that we can only know our true Self when we become the observer and stand apart as the subject irrespective of where we are located physically?
