I look at this world and I see, through ordinary common sense, that it is not permanent.
It is not permanent, it is temporary and what is temporary cannot be real. Everything is getting destroyed. In fact, a part of our lives is spent in trying to rescue that which is getting destroyed and safeguard it.

i think this statement might be better expressed if one distinguishes between form and essence. form is not permanent but essence is. form may be destroyed but essence remains as it is continually being transformed. one must follow essence as it evolves and not cling to form alone ...
