What happens is since the mind is always in motion, one cannot clearly see the reflection of one’s true self on it. Like the pool or the pond which has so many ripples on it. Suppose you drop a stone. From one ripple you get multiple ripples. Soon you have 100 ripples in water. If you attempt to look at our face in that, we see a very distorted version of our face, not the real.
