The limbic system is that which takes care of our feelings. If the limbic system didn’t work we would have no feelings. Therefore, in the raising or awakening of the Kundalini, emotion or feeling plays as much part as the technique of pranayama and the chanting of the mantras. According to the tantriks, any feeling which is very deep can in some way awaken the kundalini.

Blessings to you.
Recognition is possible prior to awakening kundalini, yes? My experience is that recognition is like a magnet, and whatever energy that i yet to be acknowledged/transformed by that recognition, kind of stands up to be "freed." What do you say? Is this what you are talking about? What is the relationship of awakening with this rise. Is it necessary or... possible in stages...what are the rolls of physical injury? or does Kundalini follow pathways that are uninjurable?
Namaste Sri M.
