In our ‘Parampara’- the Nath Parampara- the first Guru, the first teacher is supposed to be Adinath and Adinath is none other than Shiva. Shiva and Adinath are indistinguishable. The most important sadhana here is to worship the Guru, look at Him, meditate upon Him, and also follow the teachings that He has given; the most important of which is to consider all living beings as part of yourself, because, if you don’t have that, then all this worshipping is no use.

• April 19, 2018 at 05:18 AMSri M I think meditating Shiva is like commuting suicide. Because meditation is the process of bringing external energy to us. Shiva is an active energy which means he is in existence. Vishnu is in existence. Imagine if you bring that energy in to your body. It will be like river trying to bring ocean in to river- you will be dead. You can definitely bring passive energy like the incarnations of Lord Vishnu or Devi. If you chant Vishu sahasranama or chapter 11 of Devi mahathmyam every day and meditate with fully submissive mind which is called pure state of bhakthi you definitely see the incarnations of Vishu & Devi. I mean if I can see that why not others. But don't advise any one to try direct active energy to you. It can be done only for real samadhi which is joining your soul to paramarhma. I am not saying not to pray Lord Shiva but don't meditate Shiva if you want to be still alive.

• April 19, 2018 at 02:23 AMGurudev I only feel that I too belong to this parampara may be because of my previous life which ofcourse I have no clue about.
And I also believe that you have initiated me while I was watching one recording of GURU PURNIMA and I was following instructions by you the experience I can tell you but cannot disclose in this forum.
At I never met you at this point of time but my wife did almost a year before this experience
