MyTree Project | Tipu Memorial School, Ramanagara, Karnataka on 15th August 2016
The Satsang Foundation volunteers from Bangalore extended the MyTree project to Ramanagara (55 kms from Bangalore City) by conducting a tree planting drive at Tipu Memorial School, Ramanagara to commemorate the Independence Day celebrations.
The drive had active participation from students of classes ninth and tenth who dug the pits, planted and watered the saplings and built tree guards using bricks. The school also has about 35 children who are differently abled – these children also participated in the initiative with the assistance of their respective parents.
The students planted 20 saplings which included mango, guava, honge, almond and a few flowering plants. The young students pledged to take care of the saplings and spread the novel message to their families & friends.
