The MyTree Project | Tree-planting in Jalandhar, Punjab

The Learning Wings schools' children and staff, along with the Satsang volunteers planted 250 saplings under the MyTree initiative of Manav Ekta Mission, on July 02, 2016. Children and individuals will also own the nurturing of trees planted by them till they grow a certain age. Tree types: Azadirachta indica (Neem) Anthocephalus kadamba (Kadam) Butea monosperma (Flame of the forests) Emblica officinalis (Amla) The children will also discuss in their respective councils, how the pledged 50,000 trees would be planted during this academic session, species of trees, space, formations and aesthetic patterns, protection and nurturing of the plants.
