“ உனக்கு ஞான உபதேசம் கிடைக்கவேண்டும் என்றால் அது வேற்றுநாட்டில் இருந்துகொண்டுவந்து இருக்கவேண்டுமென்ற எண்ணம் இருக்கின்றது.அது ஏதாவது வித்தியாசமானதாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.அது ஒரே மாதிரியாக இருக்கக்கூடாது.அது அசாதரணமான விஷேஷமுடையதாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.அப்போதுதான் ஞானம் கிடைக்கும்.அவருக்கு நீண்ட தாடியோ அல்லதுதலையில் கி்ரீடமோ அல்லது நீண்ட அங்கியோ இருக்கவேண்டும்.அல்லது அப்படி ப் பட்டவர்,வேறு ஒன்றும் இல்லை என்றாலும்.நிர்வாணமாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.வேஷ்டி ,ஜிப்பா அணிந்து இருந்தால்,” இல்லை,இல்லை!இவரல்ல!இவர் “வேறு யாரோ தெருவிலுருந்து வந்திருக்கும் மனிதர்!” .இயந்திரகதியில் இயங்கும்பகுத்தறிவு,ஆழமாக புரிந்து க் கொண்டு புலன் உணர்வதையும், தடை செய்து விடுகின்றது.” ஸ்ரீ எம்

To encounter an enlightened Jnani,( since they are only few in number) one should have acquired some Punya in previous births.
Most of the sanyasins, I think they will be content in their own way and life , leading a pious life, even though slackened in terms of their spiritual progress / enlighenment.
Only a small percentage of swamis are pucca cheaters living or aspiring to lead a luxurious life with devotees money and they will be spoiling the name of all good ones. Occasionally their adventures appear in medias and newspapers. However with their power to influence political and religious parties they escape from imprisonment and are protected.
In the present day world, we can see fake ones every where including in spirituality How will we recognize a fake swami or a Jnani ? Irrespective of their flowing beard, crown,robe, etc I always watch my gut feeling and I blindly believe that gut feeling..........I do not know how wise or foolish it is and I am.......
